Through out the year students worked hard, with teachers there at every yard. Be it drama or be it music. Every child is exclusive. Some like Beethoven while other prefers Shakespeare too. At SSLMC we make all dreams come true.
Our association has been over two decades. The love and care that my son received from here not only helped him in his music lessons but developed his personality which in the long run helped him pursue his Phd. And also balance his academic challenge in the USA
SSLCM is not only a school but a second home to me. My otherwise boring weekends transform into fun and educative days where I get to interact with ambitious and talented young minds. I feel proud to be able to nurture them into confident and enthusiastic performers
A heart warming experience of growth and an extension of oneself is felt with every student with whom I have connected. The passion, the fervour, the excitement in both students and teachers and the constant striving for excellence in achieving standards is palpable. We at SSLCM love educating our children here and help in building their confidence to be able to face the world today, and in future
The passion for art and drama was always within me and for a long time, that passion went uncultivated and unnoticed. But, with the guidance of my mentor Ms. Sharmistha Shome, not only have I nurtured my passion but I’ve grown as an individual. One of the most important things I have learnt is that you are not defined by your failures, but you’re empowered by them and this is the attitude that I instil within my students. One can never stop growing and learning.
Speech & Drama Classes for children are necessary to cultivate self confidence, poise and the guts to face anything and anybody in the world. These were the traits my daughters Ivanca & Raina attained in this institution and I’ve always recommended my friend’s children to be a part of this amazing LMC Family which teaches us not only how to recite, emote and dramatise but also life skills and values which are not even part of the syllabus.
After having left my education in 1997 it was Sharmistha Maam who convinced me to do my Grade 8 in Communication in 2013. It was fun being her student. It’s even more enjoyable working under her. But the learning has not finished. I am still learning so much every day. The last 5 years have been the second innings in my life. I have been living the job I love so much. Only a handful of people get to work what they love. But I am gifted that by Maam. The love, guidance, respect and most of all the trust that Maam has on each of her teachers is what makes us grow. It is an honour to be working under her. It’s my home away from home.
It was 2012 when I had the opportunity to see my son, Pushkar Karmakar (5 years old) on a grand stage to see him perform on the pianoforte. Words cannot express the overwhelming feeling of seeing him sitting and playing the piano to an audience of about six hundred. To us as parents it’s something we do not get to witness as easily. Now even after seven years it makes me as excited to see my son as before on stage every time he is performing or being honoured with a distinction medal. Now he has taken up Acoustic Guitar and Vocal too in his musical portfolio. I am much obliged to all the teachers and special mention to Zoya Maam who have groomed him for Pianoforte (Grade 6) and Acoustic Guitar (Grade 3). May you keep showering him with the love and guidance as ever.
As a close observer of Jyotishka, my little daughter’s growth in this institution, I believe, here every student is treated like a Juliet Rose - the most precious flower. The ebullient familiar environment assists students to learn music, drama and communications skills. I’m also thankful to my best friend, another well pleased parent, who introduced me to SSLCM.
SSLCM has some great teachers and the love for music and having fun is contagious. My piano lessons each week are a great diversion and make me look forward to Tuesdays, that wouldn’t normally be my favourite day of the week!
Being a part of the SSLCM family, both as a student and a teacher, since the past 10 years has been an enriching experience. It is very gratifying to study and work in an atmosphere that is friendly and joyful. Learning is fun in a stress-free environment and SSLCM strives to provide that to its students. I am very fortunate to be a part of the SSLCM family.
